Jim Johnston & his '77 MGB

Our story starts in the 60's when I was dating my wife and visiting her grandparents in Mass. We would go walking and visit a local MG dealer and she would dream about owning one.
Fast forward 40 yrs., we're empty nesters and decide to take the plunge. We find a solid B in N.H. and trailer it home. It has some issues: blown engine, bad paint, bad top & interior but it has a solid no rust body. This will be my 1st. auto project ever.
Four yrs. later the car hits the road w/ a 2.8l Chevy engine (Crane Cam, Holly 4 bbl., Mallory ignition & headers), Camaro 5 spd., Miata seats, Auto Meter gauges, new top & interior, a bright yellow paint and MiniLite wheels (a retirement gift from our children). The car is more fun than we ever imagined and have a great time at cruising, attending car shows and cruis'ins. People are always waving and giving us thumbs-up. Great car and a WHOLE LOT OF FUN!!
