I am a car "nut". I love all types of cars, years of cars and makes of cars. I have always had a deep appreciation for British style cars. They always had such a great combination of speed and style. A few years ago, I had reconnected with my father after about 20 years. Through talking with him, I had come to find out that he too was a car enthusiast. I wanted to get a car that did not need too must restoration that I could go for rides with my dad in. I had remembered years ago my mother telling me she really wanted a Triumph but they wanted kids more. So I had come across a 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 for a great price. I bought it and not too far after that my father was diagnosed with cancer and passed away 2 weeks later. I have not done a single thing to the car since somewhat due to lack of time, but also lack of motivation. Come Spring I am going to begin the restoration so that it is a functioning car and honor my dad by driving it around with my wife whom he just loved so much. She does not look like much now, but there is a vision in my head that I am going to work towards.
