John Land 1978 MG Midget

I bought my MG Midget last October in 2015. I drove it home and thought I would make a couple of cosmetic repairs. I started and I took more parts off than what I had planned on. I completely stripped the car of all its parts: doors, windows, trunk lid, hood, windshield, seats, bumpers, all lights and trim. I sanded, cut out bad areas, & welded in new parts.

I never thought of MGs before as being in my price range. As fate would have it, the owners threw me the keys and said take her for a spin. I took it slow for a bit then stopped at the next stop sign, put it in first, chirp, 2nd gear, chirrrppp…  I said to myself, “Wow, she is quite peppy.” I drove her back to the owners and we hammered out the price.
